Day3 Lampeter to Ystradmeurig

Today the weather has been glorious and we have managed to walk from Lampeter to
Ystradmeurig, covering about 20 miles.
After a disturbed night (Simon tripped up on a tent rope on returning from the loo and fell on Ceri
& Jess) a breakfast of coco pops

and an opportunity for Jess to do her make up (apply sun cream !)
in the mirror of the car

We then spent a pleasant morning walking along quiet, sun dappled country lanes

Lunch was spent sitting by a river munching on bread. Cheese, ham, crisps & chocolate muffins.

As it grew hotter the walkers started to feeling tired and could be forgiven for feel the age the sign they sat
under suggests
It warmed up in the afternoon and we left the road and headed out on the Ystwyth trail.

As the afternoon wore on, the heat and the walking began to take its toll on all of us, but especially
Ceri's knee, which began to hurt badly and left Ceri hobbling along, but determined to finish the
walk today.
Everyone was happy to see the car at the end of a 2 mile straight.

Quotes of the day
